Job of The Week: Farm to Youth Network Coordinator

In this position, you will collaborate with statewide stakeholders both virtually and in-person to grow partnerships in early care and education and farm-to-school programs. You will actively engage in outreach, technical assistance, and collaboration with CRFS colleagues and partners. You will manage newsletter communications across networks, work with the Communications Team to manage social media, write grant proposals and reports, pursue future grant funding, and attend quarterly staff retreats and workshops. Additionally, you will build connections to improve school spaces in partnership with the Lake Michigan School Food Systems Innovation Hub Grant Technical Assistance Fund.  

The education, experience, and skills desired for this role include a degree in Educational Theory and Methodology or a similar area and one to three years of work experience. You should have experience overseeing conferences, organizing training materials, budgeting and maintaining records, and supervising.. Experience in Farm to Youth, Farm to Institution, or food systems-related programming is desired. You should be willing to do minimal traveling, demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills, and have a high ability to self-direct and balance a combination of these tasks.

Job of the Week – Training Coordinator/Counselor

This week’s job of the week is a Training Coordinator/Counselor (Posting #647509) for the Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) department. CAPS provides a wide range of mental health services for students on campus, including and not limited to: screening/triage appointments, individual and group therapy, psychiatric services, outreach and multicultural engagement, clinical care coordination, intensive integrated clinical services, and hospitalization coordination and support.

CAPS invites applicants for a full-time master’s level Mental health clinician (i.e., Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, etc.) who functions as the Master’s Internship & Practicum (MIP) Coordinator to join their growing team. They are a diverse and multidisciplinary staff who strive to use multicultural and collaborative approaches to provide quality care. Moreover, they work to connect each student with the most appropriate and available resources and services within CAPS.

This position will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychotherapy services at CAPS for students such as: screening/triage, individual counseling, group services, and advocacy and crisis intervention services. As part of a multidisciplinary health team, they will also work with other staff members to establish appropriate plans of care. Additionally, the Staff Counselor/MIP Coordinator will coordinate and assist the Training Director in further development and implementation of the MIP Training program at CAPS.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor’s degree work, such as a master’s degree in Counseling or Psychology and one to three years of more expansive work experience in counseling in a clinic or agency environment. Job of the Week – Study Abroad Program Coordinator

This week’s job of the week is a Study Abroad Program Coordinator (#639778) for the Office of International Health and Safety Team in the International Students and Programs department.

This position will support the operational management of international health and safety matters. This includes, in collaboration with the Director of International Health and Safety and the Senior Coordinator for International Health and Safety, overseeing office management, analysis, travel preparedness and plan response strategies to promote and protect the well-being of MSU international travelers. Job of the Week – Football Athletic Equipment Coordinator

This week’s job of the week is a Football Athletic Equipment Coordinator (#607327) for MSU’s Intercollegiate Athletics Department. This position is seeking an individual who will receive and issue athletic apparel and supplies in conjunction with the needs of MSU’s football team.

The responsibilities for this role include determining equipment needs and specifications, making budget recommendations, researching products, meeting with manufacturer representatives and vendors, and initiating paperwork to purchase athletic equipment in order to maintain adequate inventory levels.
