This week’s job of the week is a University Academic Event Coordinator (#519393) for the College of Music. This position is seeking an individual to be an important liaison with the Offices of the Dean, Advancement, Career Services and Music Entrepreneurship.
Responsibilities for this role include reserving meeting and performance spaces, planning and oversee the preparation of the facility, and collaborating with the Communication Office to coordinate projects/events related to publicity and publications. The Event Coordinator would also be responsible for coordinating photography and video services for promotional and reporting needs. Ensuring high-quality activities with coordinating students, on-call and temporary employees.
The ideal candidate would possess knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree in art, business, public relations, communications, marketing or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in planning, overseeing seminars, conferences, special events or concert production; budget and record maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
