It’s Fun Friday, and today we’re thinking about some MSU Dairy Store fun! Everybody loves a couple scoops of good quality ice cream, and the famous MSU Dairy Store has the best around!
The Dairy Store offers 32 flavors of ice cream, dairy products, farm fresh eggs, fresh cheese curds and six other varieties of cheeses, all produced on site at the Dairy Complex and Food Processing Plant.
You can have your favorite flavor of ice cream in a bowl, cake, sugar or waffle cone, or even made into a shake. Grilled-cheese sandwiches, soups, coffee and other freshly made items are also sold. (You don’t want to miss free tomato soup with your grilled cheese on Mondays!)
Check out the flavors themed after each university in the Big Ten Conference, such as the Buckeye Blitz and the new Husker’s Sweet Corn.
An observation deck at the Dairy Plant adjacent to the Anthony Hall location allows for self-guided walking tours of the facility. Learn first hand how cheese, ice cream and other dairy products are made.
Visit the MSU Dairy Store’s website for hours of operation, a virtual tour of the Dairy Plant, and even order a variety of cheeses online!
Once you have MSU ice cream, it’s hard to get ice cream from other places (well, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream is always good). MSU beats Dairy Dan, DQ, QD, and other Lansing spots for ice cream.
Yum!! 🙂
