Right here on campus there is a center that provides support to individuals and a place to socialize for anyone in the MSU community. The LBGT (Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transgender) Resource Center operates according to their mission which states:
“The LBGT Resource Center leads and collaborates on university-wide initiatives that enhance campus climate and support services for MSU students who identify as lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, and their communities, at Michigan State University.
We serve the entire campus community by helping all students, faculty and staff thrive in a diverse world by developing allies across differences.”
All members of the MSU community are welcome to visit and “chill, meet-up with friends, ask questions, study, check-out the Community Gallery Exhibit, get a cup of coffee, have a good laugh, heat up lunch in the microwave, have a good cry, show us your favorite YouTube video, take a nap in our ‘fat boy’ (bean bag chair), see what is happening on campus, complain about your (INSERT GRIPE HERE), make friends, and get the help you need for just about anything by just asking.”
Thank you LBGT Resource Center for offering support, guidance and a helping hand to anyone that needs it!
