Michigan State University is the hub of East Lansing, serving more than 40,000 students and covering over 4,000 acres. With so many people and so much space thereās always a possibility for trouble. But thanks to the Michigan State University Police, MSU faculty, staff, students and visitors can trust that their safety is in good hands.
The MSU Police has 69 officers, men and women, certified by the State of Michigan. The officers encompass a wide variety of races, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds and handle all of MSUās police matters, ranging from stolen bicycles to speeding tickets to party violations.
The MSU Police are the eyes and ears of the MSU community. You may even see them out and about engaging in friendly conversation with students, visitors, or faculty on campus.
