Are you or any of your family and friends animal lovers? If you are, then you will want to attend Small Animals Day at the MSU Pavilion on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Small Animals Day, is an opportunity for children and their families to visit and enjoy a day of fun at MSU. Small Animals Day offers a variety of fun activities such as an opportunity to meet Sparty, viewing animal exhibits, petting farm animals, participating in a coloring contest and so much more.

Animals that will be available for petting include: baby chicks, piglets, a dairy cow, horses, sheep, and rabbits.

Small Animals Day was created to give the public a first-hand look at how the animals are taken care of, as well as receive educational information regarding the farm structure on MSU’s campus.  Farm tours will not be given for the 2013 Small Animals Day.

Visitors are asked to park on the north-west corner of Mount Hope and Farm Lane and ride the free CATA buses to the pavilion. Admission is $2 per person. Infants are free.

Small Animals Day is a joint effort between the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Office of Academic and Student Affairs and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) Student Senate.
