1. Walk along the Red Cedar River

This time of year the banks of the Red Cedar River can be quite beautiful. Swing by Sparty’s to grab a coffee or hot cocoa, then meander along the winding river and enjoy the winter scenery that MSU has to offer.

2. Lace up your skates and head to Munn Ice Arena

Munn Ice Arena offers public skating from 12:30 p.m.–2 p.m. this Valentine’s Day! It is $4 for MSU faculty and staff and $5 for the public.

3. Go to the MSU Dairy Store for a Valentine’s Day treat

It may be cold, but the MSU Dairy Store has a special Valentine’s Day ice cream for you to enjoy! If ice cream is not your speed, try some MSU Dairy Store chocolate cheese—because everyone deserves chocolate on Valentine’s Day!

4. Eat at Brody Square

Nothing says a Spartan Valentine’s Day like eating at the dorms. Swing by Brody for some top-notch dorm cuisine.

5. Visit the Broad Art Museum

The newly-opened Broad Art Museum is a great way to spend some time with your valentine. Get lost in the new exhibits together!

6. Check out some of the specials at local restaurants

If you are thinking of venturing off campus, some businesses around East Lansing have Valentine’s Day specials for you to enjoy.
