  • Avoid going anywhere alone – always walk around in groups, especially in someplace new.

The FBI has recently reported that a number of malicious software viruses are being pushed through hotel internet connections. The malware comes across as a common software update for cell phones and other products. To avoid downloading viruses or malware, the FBI recommends:

  • Checking the author or digital certificate of any prompted update to see if it corresponds to the software vendor.
  • Downloading software updates directly from the vendor’s website.
