Stay Aware with MSU ALERT

We don’t always like to think about the possibility of health or safety threats on campus, but they do happen. MSU ALERT is one way that Michigan State University delivers significant emergency information to the campus community. In the event of an emergency, MSU ALERT is able to send you an email message, an SMS text message to your cell phone and call you with a recorded message using the Blackboard Connect-Ed system.MSU Alert Icon

All employees are automatically subscribed to receive emergency notifications through MSU ALERT unless they opt-out. (It is strongly recommended that no employee opt-out of MSU ALERT.) MSU ALERT uses the MSU registered email address and phone number on file for you from the MSU directory. You can add additional contact information if desired. You also can add additional phone numbers that aren’t your own, such as a spouse, friend or neighbor if you would like them to be informed of emergency situations on campus.

To confirm or update your information, visit alert.msu.edu and click the Login link to log in with your MSU NetID and password. If you have additional questions about MSU ALERT, please contact Officer Steve Beard at 517-432-9549.
