Thanks to everyone who played in Friday’s RecycleMania trivia! There were a couple tricky questions this time, but we had seven people get all the questions correct. The two people who sent in the correct answers first were Leslie Baldwin and Sue Hopper. Congratulations, Leslie and Sue!

Here are the correct answers, some with explanation:

1.  Which recycle bin does boxboard (such as cereal, shoe and cracker boxes) go into?

Answer: 2. Mixed Paper

2.  What number plastic is a grocery bag considered?

Answer: 4. 4 (Keep in mind, all plastic can be recycled, even if they don’t have a number!)

3.  Napkins, paper towels, paper plates and tissues should be recycled with?

Answer: 4. Those items cannot be recycled

4. Aluminum Foil should be put into which recycle bin?

Answer: 3. Plastics (Plastics and household metals go in the same container, and aluminum foil is a household metal!)

5.  White envelopes should be placed in which recycle bin?

Answer: 1. Mixed Paper (All envelopes go into the mixed paper bin. Windows, labels and stamps are okay to recycle!)
