Need an MRI, X-ray or CT scan? Save time with services right on campus.

Have you ever needed to get an MRI, X-ray or mammogram and had to rearrange your schedule to fit it in? In your fast-paced and busy life, convenience is key! Did you know you can get imaging services like an MRI, CT or PET scan done right here on campus? MSU Radiology offers a full range of imaging services such as bone densitometry, digital mammography, ultrasound/vascular ultrasound, X-rays and much more, with scheduling options that also match your busy life.

MSU Radiology has locations in both the Clinical Center on Service Road and the Eyde Building on Hagadorn Road, along with a range of open hours including early mornings, nights and weekends to accommodate your schedule. Most procedures require an appointment, but same day appointments are typically available, depending on your schedule. Walk-ins are welcome for X-ray services with no appointment necessary.

Along with convenience comes expert care. The radiologists at MSU Radiology are unique in that they have acquired additional training and are board-certified for specialty interpretations.

If you need imaging services and it’s not an emergency, ask your doctor to refer you to MSU Radiology. If you are an MSU benefits-eligible employee, you and your dependents are eligible to use your MSU health coverage at MSU Radiology for imaging services with no change in your copay. You’ll need a written order from your doctor, which they can access on the Radiology website, and your health insurance card with a form of identification.

You’ll be in and out quickly with low wait times and convenient parking in both locations. You can park in Lot 100 directly in front of the Clinical Center; while this is a paid lot, customers are given parking validation when they leave the office, so there is no cost to park in this lot. You can also park in employee-designated parking in Lots 91 or 92 across the street. Parking at the Eyde Building is located on both sides of the building.

    1. Milly, if you’re enrolled in an MSU health plan, the co-pay will be the same regardless if you went to MSU Radiology or another facility. If you are not enrolled in an MSU health plan, your co-pay would be based on your plan. If you’re enrolled through another plan other than MSU, you would want to make sure MSU Radiology is in that plan’s network.

      1. Good to know. I had 4 views of my knee done at MMP and they charged the insurance company about $400. I saw another company that did 4 views of the knee and it only charged $100. This seems out of line to me. What does MSU charge the insurance company?

        1. MSU Radiology would bill the insurance company. If you have questions about pricing for a particular service, you may want to contact Radiology directly to inquire.

  1. My doctor’s office told me that MSU Radiology was not covered by my insurance and I had to go to Sparrow for a CT scan even though my insurance is Blue Care Network through MSU!

    1. Ann, if you’re enrolled in an MSU health plan, service at MSU Radiology is covered. Your co-pay would be the same as if you were to go to the hospital for these types of imaging services. You have the right to request your doctor to refer you to MSU Radiology.

      1. Thank you – I will insist next time. It didn’t make sense to me but I was scared to end up with a big bill to pay if they were right.
