Do you have a passion for helping prospective students envision a future at MSU? Then this week’s job of the week is for you! The Office of Admissions is currently seeking an Admissions Counselor (posting #530289) to serve the Greater Detroit (Wayne and Oakland counties).

The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for representing the university to high school students in the Greater Detroit area, attending college fairs to speak with prospective students, arranging individual interviews and informational sessions for students, parents, and counselors, as well as developing strategic recruitment plans.

The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor’s Degree in admissions, counseling, public relations, student services or a related area, with three years of experience in college admissions, higher education, corporate sales, financial aid, high school counseling, or teaching. Being an MSU alumnus living near Detroit is also a plus!
