Are you a new faculty or academic staff member? Welcome to Michigan State! We know there’s a lot to take in, and the best place to start is at the 2018 New Faculty and Academic Staff Orientation on August 21, 2018.

Every year the Academic Advancement Network (AAN) hosts an orientation for new faculty and academic staff to familiarize you with all things MSU. This year’s orientation is Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center. The orientation will be a full day event covering topics such as the history of MSU, campus resources, and important campus policies and information.

Registration and breakfast start at 7:30 a.m., with the orientation program running from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. During the break between 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m., make sure to come chat with our MSU Human Resources staff about your benefits, meet with MSUFCU representatives, and get a professional photo taken! From 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a luncheon with the Interim President, Provost, administrators, and incoming academics as well. There will be an information fair from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to answer any questions you may have from our academic units, associations, and organizations.
