The new upgraded MSU Health e-Guide makes accessing important medical and health information easier for visitors.

The MSU Health e-Guide features a new homepage in an easier to use format, allowing visitors to find medical information quickly. The extra features include: an archive of the Healthy Email Series directly on the homepage, a Consumer Care Section with videos on health care reform and suggested questions to ask about medicines and other health topics. Pack your bags, lace up your walking shoes and prepare for fun on your trip around the Greater Lansing area for the “Be a Tourist in Your Own Town” event on Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., sponsored by the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau.

“Be A Tourist in Your Own Town,” was started 19 years ago to increase community awareness of the different attractions in Greater Lansing and the tourism industry’s impact on the area. Every day through posters or TV campaigns we’re reminded to “go green.” Part of that includes “green cleaning,” which means using all-natural cleaning solutions and environmental-friendly techniques, such as recycling. These tactics reduce waste and protect the planet.

Also, according to the EPA, the average office worker uses about 10,000 sheets of paper every year. MSU Archives & Historical Collections Offers Great Services for You!

MSU Archives & Historical Collections (UAHC) offers great services to MSU faculty and staff.

UAHC’s record management is responsible for the management of the university’s inactive records, including the preparation of retention schedules for its administrative, fiscal, personnel and academic records. UAHC can assist your team in the efficient administration and management of official paper and electronic records of the university. MSU faculty and staff can take advantage of the ongoing support and training to the in records management, storage and retrieval to comply with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations available at UAHC.

The reading room within UAHC has kept historical materials preserved and secure, as well as readily available for public research. The documents available at the reading room include maps from throughout campus history, scrapbooks from alumni and class rivalry posters. 2013 Summer Camp and Youth Programs at MSU

With MSU summer camps and youth programs, students from elementary schools, middle schools and high schools have the opportunity to make new friends and learn about a variety of topics.

School will soon be out for the summer, but that doesn’t mean learning has to stop. MSU hosts a wide variety of summer programs for kids of all different ages. These programs foster learning, generate social interaction and encourage a whole lot of fun. The range of programs and offerings are massive but most of them can be broken down into four main categories: Creative, Academic, Sports and Technology.

Kids and teens can get in touch with their creative side this summer. MSU’s summer camp programs in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences are designed for high school and middle school students. Prepared to be amazed, inspired and bedazzled at this year’s 2013 East Lansing Art Festival and the 2013 MSU Spring Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The East Lansing Art Festival (ELAF) is a two-day outdoor event held in the downtown streets of East Lansing. The MSU Spring Arts and Crafts Show is also a two-day outdoor event held outside the MSU Union near the corner of Grand River Ave. and Abbot Road. Serving as the eyes and ears of a campus community is what the MSU Police does. But reporting suspicious activity to keep MSU’s campus safe and comfortable for everyone is what you can do. The MSU Police encourages anyone on campus to report any suspicious activity or crimes they notice through their See Something, Say Something program.

The program started by the MSU Police three years ago is part of a national campaign by the same name. The national See Something, Say Something campaign is overseen by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and “emphasizes the importance of reporting suspicious activity to the proper state and local law enforcement authorities,” according to the campaign’s website.Continue Reading… See Something, Say Something Program at MSU
