Job of the Week 6/5/14

This week we are highlighting an Information Technologist II in University Advancement (Posting #9580). This position serves as Senior User Interface Developer and will play a lead role in the development of frictionless Web experiences for our friends, donors and alumni across multiple platforms/devices. Most importantly, this individual will be responsible for assisting in the creation of an energetic, creative, positive team environment: this highly creative individual will be responsible for tracking and implementing design trends that will keep the organization on the reasonable cutting edge while staying within the boundaries of 508c compliance and accessibility. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the current code base, testing web functionality, and recommending design patterns, will be expected to design and deliver Web assets (e.g. html, JavaScript, CSS, templates, photos, illustrations, back-end SQL and ColdFusion code) that meet the objective in a timely manner, and will work closely with internal and external, technical and non-technical partners within University Advancement to deliver memorable experiences with dynamic and accurate web content.

The RCPD recently held their annual Awards and Appreciation Reception, where they honor the achievements of scholarship recipients and exceptional MSU faculty and staff members. The awards given at the reception include: the Spirit of Ability Award, which commemorates the empowering heritage of founders who saw beyond disabilities, the Student Leadership and Service Award that recognizes outstanding leadership of students and organizations within the RCPD and the broader community, and the Outstanding Alumnus Award that recognizes the accomplishments, leadership, and dedication of MSU graduates who make significant contributions to their field. Each of these awards were given to deserving individuals who have positively impacted the MSU community.
