This week we’re highlighting an Educational Program Coordinator II position in the Women’s Resource Center (Posting #6694).  The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) operates from several core themes which include social justice, leadership development and work life engagement; the WRC provides a forum to examine structures of power and privilege across all aspects of identity; the Center is responsible for providing resources, programming, mentoring and opportunities for collaboration with other units across campus and in the broader community as they pertain to gender and the WRC’s three core themes.

Can my spouse/OEI be covered under MSU’s health plan?

This is a common question we get in Human Resources. Spousal coverage is available for all spouses/Other Eligible Individuals (OEIs) of benefits-eligible employees who enroll in an MSU health plan. This seems simple enough, but the premium threshold for spousal coverage can become confusing!

If your spouse/OEI has health care coverage from their employer that costs $850 or less per year (for a single policy, not two-person or family), they need to enroll in their employer’s health plan.
