Job of the Week 5/10/12

This week we’re highlighting an Accounting Clerk II position in the Mathematics Department (Posting #6176).  Some of the job duties for this position include processing reimbursement vouchers for faculty, staff and visitors; processing biweekly payroll; reconciling accounts; direct billing for travel; purchasing and professional services contracts; processing various accounting functions, including expenditures, fund transfers, cost redistributions and cash deposits; preparing timely reports for faculty and senior administration; and advising staff regarding university and college policies, procedures and accounting information. Sharon became the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources at Michigan State University on May 1, 2012. In her new role at MSU, she assumes the senior leadership position in HR and is responsible for not only our day-to-day operations but also the development of a long-term strategic vision and plan for our department.

Sharon was most recently the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at the University of Cincinnati.
