This position provides administrative support to the Dean of the College of Social Science; oversees Dean&#8217;s calendar; reviews, interprets and summarizes materials in order to keep the Dean informed of pertinent events and information; gathers, screens, and relays sensitive information received from university executives, staff members, and visitors; prioritizes and responds to inquiries for the Dean; sorts, reviews, and directs Dean&#8217;s mail including drafting responses, forwarding information when appropriate, and maintaining logs to track delegated matters; develops, plans, coordinates, and manages assigned projects; assists with project development and monitors, analyzes, and reconciles related records; conducts research on assigned projects and for the development of new projects; prepares files for Dean&#8217;s meetings and attends meetings with the Dean; takes meeting minutes; lead worker for the Dean&#8217;s front office; completes work with frequent interruptions; handles diverse and multiple tasks and details; prioritizes work; maintains Dean&#8217;s office files; participates in processing materials for reappointment, promotion and tenure; supports the Dean&#8217;s scholarly work; is Dean&#8217;s liaison to other offices within the College and University.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sourcelive.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/09\/msu-jobs_shield.jpg?resize=150%2C152\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-623\" src=\"https:\/\/sourcelive.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/09\/msu-jobs_shield.jpg?resize=150%2C152\" alt=\"MSU Jobs Icon\" width=\"150\" height=\"152\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>For a complete description of this position, and to view all of our current postings, please go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jobs.msu.edu\/\">www.jobs.msu.edu<\/a> and select Support Staff under the Fast Jobs Search.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week we are highlighting an Executive Staff Assistant (posting #3607) with the College of Social Science.
