In 2014, the Lansing River Trail was expanded to reach into South Lansing\u2019s Holt and Mason districts. If you reside in the South Lansing area, remember to take advantage of the trails on a sunny day by biking this route which crosses Willoughby Road along Sycamore Creek. The trail leads you past the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ingham.org\/PK\/Soccerhome.htm\">Hope Soccer Fields Complex<\/a> where the trail joins the Aurelius Road bike lane at Jolly Road. Your trip continues north, passing near scenic <a title=\"Hawk Island Park\" href=\"http:\/\/pk.ingham.org\/ParksTrails\/HawkIsland.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hawk Island County Park<\/a> and going all the way to <a title=\"Fenner Nature Center\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mynaturecenter.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fenner Nature Center<\/a> and <a title=\"Potter Park Zoo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.potterparkzoo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Potter Park Zoo<\/a> in Lansing, where it joins up with what we know as the <a title=\"Lansing River Trail\" href=\"http:\/\/lansingrivertrail.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lansing River Trail<\/a>.<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sourcelive.hr.msu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/lansing-river-trail-map.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8121\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sourcelive.hr.msu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/lansing-river-trail-map.png?resize=300%2C156\" alt=\"Lansing River Trail Map\" width=\"300\" height=\"156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sourcelive.hr.msu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/lansing-river-trail-map.png?w=512&amp;ssl=1 512w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sourcelive.hr.msu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/lansing-river-trail-map.png?resize=300%2C156&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From there you can head either west to the Capitol and Old Town, or east to MSU and enjoy all the campus has to offer on a beautiful spring or summer day.
