Michigan State University\u2019s Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System<\/em> (RS&GIS) integrates <\/acronym>innovative, high-quality geospatial technology services with MSU\u2019s campus to bring you campus-related applications. These applications<\/acronym> can enhance your MSU experience by providing resourceful and innovative approaches to exploring campus.<\/p>\n

One of the applications offered through RS&GIS is the Walking Loops<\/a>. This application provides you with many different-length paths for exploring MSU\u2019s campus and exercising! The application highlights the locations of public art pieces on the loops for your enjoyment; it also provides emergency phone locations for your safety. In cooperation with MSU Health4U Program<\/a>, RS&GIS provides downloadable PDFs of the walking loops to serve as maps for your tours around campus.<\/p>\n

If the walking loops did not show you enough of MSU\u2019s campus, the Panoramic Photography<\/a> application provides 360-degree photographs throughout MSU’s campus. This application also reveals some interior photographs of MSU buildings. More photos of campus, both inside and out, are to be added so keep checking back!<\/p>\n

Spartan GIS is home of Aerial Imagery Archive<\/a>, which is the largest repository of remotely-sensed imagery for the State of Michigan. The collection contains historic aerial photographs of Michigan and its counties dating from the 1920s to the 2000s.<\/p>\n

RS&GIS explores MSU\u2019s history with the blast-from-the-past app Historical Aerial Imagery<\/a>. This collection stores 25 different years of MSU campus photographs since 1938.<\/p>\n
