If you ever have to bring another vehicle on campus or you forget your parking validator, you may assume you\u2019ll be getting a parking ticket. Luckily, there is a helpful option for those sticky situations! It\u2019s called Calendar Permission.<\/p>\n

MSU Police offers Calendar Permission one day out of each calendar month. It is issued in situations when you are driving a different vehicle for the day, or when you use the validator system and you\u2019ve forgotten your validator. To receive Calendar Permission, call the Parking Office as soon as you arrive on campus at 517-355-8440, ext. 0. Let the phone operator know you need a Calendar Permission.\u00a0 The operator will ask for your name and the license plate number of the vehicle that you have on campus that day.<\/p>\n

You may be able to avoid parking ticket fees with Calendar Permission!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Your information will be entered into their system, but please note that you may still get a violation on your vehicle that day. As long you called in before the violation was issued and are parked legally, then you can just mail the violation to the MSU Police or visit their office. You would write your name on the violation and \u201cCalendar Permission.\u201d<\/p>\n

Phones are answered between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Calendar permission is issued for whichever parking privileges you have purchased. For more information, visit the MSU Police website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Remember your Calendar Permission option so you can avoid an unwanted parking ticket!<\/p>\n
