Campus Events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Starts March 5<\/strong> – ANR Week<\/a> (free): Join the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and MSU for Agriculture and Natural Resources Week and learn more about one of the largest events of its kind in the nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n March 14 <\/strong>– Make & Sustain: Upcycled Planters<\/a> (free): Decoupage your container with colorful paper provided from MSU Surplus and plant a seed from the Seed Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n March 19 <\/strong>– SpARTan Wellness: PLAY WITH CLAY<\/a> (free): Visit the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum to roll, stretch, carve and stamp clay creations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n March 27 <\/strong>– Composition Reading with Imani Winds<\/a> (free): Enjoy music from the members of Imani Winds, as they perform works penned by MSU student composers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n March 31<\/strong> – 2023 MSU Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Commemoration<\/a>: Join this event to honor this year’s theme: Remembering and Progressing our Roots. Hear from the keynote speaker and President of United Farm Workers, Teresa Romero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Learning Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Starts March 3 <\/strong>– Intentional Parenting – Building a More Meaningful Connection with our Kids <\/a>(free): This course will help parents explore how to connect with their children through open and honest communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Starts March 10 <\/strong>– 15th Annual Muslim Mental Health Conference<\/a>: This year\u2019s conference aims to acknowledge and honor the history in the field of Muslim mental health, highlight and share current insights and wisdom and set sights on the future of the field of Muslim Mental Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n March 22 – <\/strong>2023 MSU Women’s Advisory Committee for Support Staff Spring Forum: Building Bridges of Spartan Connections<\/a>: This forum will focus on Building Bridges of Spartan Connections with a keynote address by HR’s very own Christina K. Brogdon, PHR, MSU’s Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n March 22 – <\/strong>Photo Book Workshop using Microsoft Word<\/a> (free): Learn how to use Microsoft Word to design a photo book you can print at MSU Libraries Publishing Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Health and Wellness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n March 2 <\/strong>– Responding to the Tragic Events at MSU<\/a> (free): In response to the tragic events that occurred at MSU, the WorkLife Office has prepared a training that will discuss the different ways in which we respond to trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Starts March 7<\/strong> – MSU Grief and Loss Support Group<\/a> (free): This open conversation with MSU community members will help those dealing with grief. <\/p>\n\n\n\n March 7 <\/strong>– Ergonomic Best Practices for Workstation Comfort and Safety<\/a> (free): This Zoom session will explore the basics of ergonomics, injury prevention, how to set up your workstation, standing desk use and stretches\/exercises to help reduce the risk of work-related pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n March 13 <\/strong>– Sleep: Understanding and Optimizing Your Nightly Reboot<\/a> (free): Explore the benefits of maintaining good \u201csleep hygiene\u201d and learn how to improve your sleep quality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n March 16 <\/strong>– Lansing River Walk Trail<\/a> (free): Join the International Employee Resource Group, in person, for a scenic Spring walk through the Lansing River Trail!<\/p>\n\n\n\n March 23 <\/strong>– Laughing is the Best Medicine<\/a> (free): Join the Adult Caregivers Employee Resource Group to learn more about caregiving with laughter, mindfulness and explore the social, emotional and physical benefits of laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Family-Friendly Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Starts March 3 <\/strong>– Imagine the Moon<\/a>: Visit the Abrams Planetarium to explore how the moon has inspired human creativity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n March 4<\/strong> – Family Day: JOIN<\/a> (free): Join the MSU Broad Art Museum for their monthly family day.
