Demonstrating compassion and\nself-awareness, and effectively navigating emotions (yours and others) are\npriority skills for leaders at this unique time. It is also important to\nremember that anyone can be a leader regardless of title, and the current\nsituation provides an opportunity to demonstrate just that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Daniel Goleman book <a href=\"https:\/\/elevateu.skillport.com\/skillportfe\/main.action?path=summary\/BOOKS\/144442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (Leadership: The Power of Emotional Intelligence)\">Leadership: The Power of Emotional Intelligence<\/a>, we learn that \u201cwhile IQ and technical skills may help you get a foot in the leadership door, it\u2019s <em>emotional intelligence<\/em> (EQ) that is often the stronger predictor of exceptional leadership.
