This position\nis seeking an individual with excellent verbal communication\nskills to provide support to technical and professional staff by preparing\nspecimens for diagnostic analysis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nresponsibilities for this role include processing\/testing specimens from\nanimals and the environment to detect the presence of inorganic and organic\nchemicals, as well as preparing media\/reagents for use by several laboratory\nsections. Additional duties associated with this position involve&nbsp;walking,\nlifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing&nbsp;and working with unfixed\nanimal tissues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ideal\ncandidate would possess knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be\nacquired by completing a four-year college degree program in science or a\ntwo-year associates degree program in Applied Science Medical Laboratory\nTechnician including a six-month internship at an approved institution\nlaboratory; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or\nexpansive work experience in basic laboratory techniques; or an equivalent\ncombination of education and experience.
