If you find a course or learning opportunity\nyou\u2019re interested in, don\u2019t forget you have access to Educational Assistance! This\nbenefit offers financial assistance towards your professional development after\nyou\u2019ve worked at MSU for an equivalent of 12 full-time service months. If you\nwork less than full-time, the benefit is prorated based on your employment\npercentage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You may receive financial assistance for a variety of\nlearning opportunities. For non-credit learning opportunities, you may have up\nto $800 per year to use towards registration fees. It must be considered\njob-related and from an approved institution\/program to receive assistance.\nSome examples of learning opportunities you can use this benefit for include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For credit courses, you can receive up to 14 credits per\nacademic year. Your financial assistance level is determined by your union\ngroup, the type of course you\u2019re taking (graduate or undergraduate), and where\nyou\u2019re taking the course (MSU or another university). The course must be\nconsidered job-related, degree-related, or career\/professional\ndevelopment-related.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
