Forest Akers consists of two courses made in the 18-hole championship style located on the campus of Michigan State University. Both the East and West Courses are open to the public. The range, located on the East Course, is rated as one of the top 50 ranges in the U.S. The course is home to the MSU men\u2019s and women\u2019s golf teams, MHSAA Boys and Girls State Golf Finals, Spartan X-County Invitational and the Mary Fossum Invitational Collegiate Golf Event. Forest Akers is home to 38 golf leagues, ranging from beginners to casual to avid golfers. <strong>There\u2019s still time to join a <\/strong><br \/>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/golf.msu.edu\/leagues\"><br \/>\n\t\t<strong>Forest Akers Golf League<\/strong><br \/>\n\t<\/a><br \/>\n\t<strong><br \/>\n\t\t<a href=\"http:\/\/golf.msu.edu\/leagues\">s<\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even if you are a beginner golfer you can still sign up for adult group classes and work your way up from there. Junior lessons are available as well to help them learn the basics of golf \u2013 these include after-school programs and summer golf camp. The Spartan Spirit Shop offers a range of different golf products that you can only find at this location such as MSU-branded golf apparel, gift items, golf clubs, and golf balls.<\/p>\n<p>This summer, Forest Akers will be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Season golf memberships and range passes are available.
