This position is full time with standard 8-5 work hours.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will conduct medical record review and analysis\u00a0in order to facilitate charge capture and to ensure accurate coding of medical services; will enter billing data abstracted from medical records to appropriate billing systems; assists in determining policy and procedure pertaining to medical coding; conducts training under direction of the HealthTeam Central Business Office.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible candidates should have a knowledge equivalent to the first two or three years of college, such as an Associate&#8217;s degree; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in\u00a0medical billing including medical terminology, procedural coding, diagnostic coding, Blue Shield\/Medicare\/Medicaid\/ HMO\/PPO claims processing; hospital medical record coding, including procedures and evaluation management services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; certification as a Certified Professional coder<\/p>\n<p>For more details on the responsibilities and requirements of this position, and to view all of our current postings, please visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/careers.msu.edu\/cw\/en-us\/listing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">careers.msu.edu<\/a>.
