Direct deposit<\/a> is available for all University employees. The University will deposit your paycheck electronically into an account you designate at any financial institution within the U.S. If you want to save yourself time and reduce paper, you should consider enrolling in the direct deposit program.<\/p>\n

To enroll in direct deposit or to edit your current direct deposit information:<\/p>\n

  1. Log into Enterprise Business Systems<\/a> with your MSU NetID and password.<\/li>\n
  2. Select your Employee Self-Service (ESS) tab (i.e., ESS Faculty, ESS Salary, ESS Hourly, etc.).<\/li>\n
  3. Click the Payroll link.<\/li>\n
  4. Click the Direct Deposit Information link.<\/li>\n
  5. Follow the steps to add or edit your direct deposit information. You will need to know your financial institution’s routing number and your personal account number.\n

    Once you complete the process, your enrollment or changes should be effective by the second paydate after your submission. Your check will be automatically deposited into your checking or savings account safely and confidentially on payday. You are provided with a detailed earnings statement accessible on the Employee Self-Service (ESS) Portal<\/a>. In addition, your financial institution will provide a monthly statement to let you know your account has been credited.<\/p>\n
